Community at Sasquatch Family Farms
At Sasquatch Family Farms, we believe farmland can nourish more than food — it can nourish community. One of the ways we give back is by sharing our space with local organizations that bring people together across generations.
Since 1995, the farm has been honored to provide space for the Lewis County Radio Controllers, a local nonprofit organization. If you visit the farm, you may see members flying their RC aircraft from the grass airstrip — a long-standing tradition that adds energy and joy to the landscape.
The Lewis County Radio Controllers is a non-competition club where members fly simply for the love of the hobby. Ages range from teens to 70+ years young, making it a truly intergenerational community. The club is an Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) Charter Club (#2275), originally established on April 18, 1986, and flying at this Toledo, WA location since September 24, 1995. AMA & Club membership is required to fly on the field.
We are grateful to steward land that can serve multiple purposes — agriculture, conservation, and recreation — and to host groups that strengthen the fabric of our rural community.
